DR SPORTS
& ATHLETICS
We help future generations by providing a set of fundamental values such as discipline, leadership and teamwork among other values to reinforce the sports-based foundation in their lives from a young age.
Sports & athletics are essential to an individual’s health and happiness. In some ways, also a necessity and commitment to make sports accessible to many is our collective purpose while enabling an active lifestyle during the growth and development of players.

FOUNDERS
LUIS TORRES
CO- FOUNDER & PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT COACH
Starting at the age of three, I have lived a sports-focused lifestyle and played in multiple competitive settings where I established a foundation in my life of discipline and grit. As I consider that my journey with sports has been built around hardships, obstacles, skill and personal development instead of a talent that was naturally born inside me. In this process, I learned how sports can play a foundational role in one's life, and this has driven me to make a positive impact on future generations through sports.
Each young player is unique and possesses a different skill set and to help these players reach their full potential, it is essential to instill basic fundamentals. Regardless of the specific areas a player needs to improve upon, I believe that all young athletes have immense potential. Through sports, foundational values and disciplines are established during formative years, which is why I am passionate about being a positive influence and having a purpose through sports. The next generation is everything, and I am committed to helping young players develop into their best selves.

DIEGO RIVERO

From a young age, I have been immersed in the world of sports and have been fortunate enough to play a variety of disciplines, each teaching me different foundational skills that have contributed to my growth both on and off the court. I have always been drawn to the competitive environments of sports, which has driven me to strive for excellence in all aspects of my athletic pursuits. My passion for sports led me to discover tennis at the age of six, and I quickly fell in love with the game. I have had the privilege of competing for various teams over the years, and my experiences culminated in earning us a place in the State Championship.
My diverse experiences in sports have inspired me to give back and help young players develop their passion. I believe that it is essential to learn discipline and foundational skills through sports, as the habits gained from these experiences will shape one's future. For me, giving back to future generations through sports is not just a passion, but a duty, and I am committed to helping young players become their best selves.

Meet The Team

ALI
My name is Ali and I grew up in Casablanca, Morocco. I was introduced to the world of sports at the age of four when I received my first Karate Gi. From that moment, I was hooked and discovered my passion for competition. This led me to experiment with multiple sports, including tennis, soccer, basketball, rugby, track and field, long jump, and ultimately volleyball. It was in volleyball that my former team and I achieved 3rd place at nationals.

ANDRES
I was born on August 29th, 2001, and I started playing tennis when I was 6 years old in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. As I played in more tournaments and ranked up, I became a ranked tennis player in the National Tennis Association of Venezuela. When I turned 12, I moved to the US and continued to play tennis throughout middle school and high school. I even made it onto the varsity high school team and played all the way through my senior year.

EMMA
I was introduced to a variety of sports as a young child, including soccer, gymnastics, and karate, but it wasn't until 8th grade that I found my true passion in rowing, which I have been doing for 7 years now. In high school, I discovered my love for volleyball during gym class and playing it in a competitive environment. Now in my second year at UCF, I play on a competitive intramural volleyball team with close friends, which inspired me to become a volleyball coach for young players.

FAITH
As a lifelong volleyball player, I have always had a passion for the sport and a desire to share that love with others. It was in sixth grade when I first saw some girls playing and decided to give it a try. From that moment on, I’ve been playing and coaching the sport ever since. As a coach, I place a strong emphasis on encouragement and keeping the game fun for everyone involved. I believe that volleyball is a highly mental sport, and developing a positive attitude is key to helping players become their best selves on the court.

JACK
During my time in high school, I was introduced to volleyball and joined the school team. The energy and camaraderie I felt while playing with my team was unlike any other sport I had played before. In college, I joined an arts community club which allowed me to become more involved in outreach and instantly fell in love. This experience drove me to combine my love for coaching and helping less fortunate youth.
